new and scared

Hey all, while out for a party I met a girl who I thought was fun. We went home and hooked up, had unprotected oral and unprotected vaginal until i realised and pulled out under 1 minute. I know this places me at risk, since then I have been unable to get a hold of her to discuss anything, again dumb. Did research as I remember her name and it turns out she was an ex porn star, great scares me even more, though it looks like she has been out of the buisness for some time.

6 weeks out I have had a antibody test at 45 days (6 weeks and came back neg)
I also did an online PCR dna and antibody at 28 days though quest diagnostics. I have read that the combination of both is conclusive, but also get that it is equally ubreliable. I have also read that a 6 week test is pretty good evidence in light of symptoms.

So I guess I am looking for support, I have had symptoms that are inline with ARS. Swollen lymph nodes, muscle and joint pain, weightloss. All came on at 2 weeks and have yet left and I am pushing 8 weeks now.

Any advise? Would antibodies be showing now if I had ARS starting at 2 weeks.

Thanks,
Scared of Porn stars now

I have never seen anyone come here and ask questions and then test positive. The Dr's in the expert forum has not seen someone test positive after 6 weeks in years they have said.

Yes with negative test after "symptoms" very very god sign and also combined that with the PCR...ver ver very good sign. I would not worry too much aboutit.

so the fact I had symptoms at 2-3 weeks and now at 6 showing no antiboides is a good step forward. I get the 3 moths and know I have to test out. Has anyone ever seen anyone have a 6 week neg go positive?

We would not consider your tests as conclusive here. A very very good indication yes but 3 month antibody test is conclusive.

Antibodies normally show 1 week or so after ARS would start. But you don't have to get symptoms and many don't. We don't speak of symptoms because they are non-specific.
