HIV testing validity

Hi,

Would like to know if a 9 wk HIV spot test is conclusive or should I go for a different test? Also is 9 weeks enough a period to reliably detect the virus?

I am a Male & my only exposure to risk was a brief unprotected fellatio with a girl of unknown status and mutual masturbation. The test was thankfully NON-reactive.

Pl advise,

Regards

Thanks all

A parting question though, the testing period was 7 weeks instead on 9 weeks to be precise, sorry for the typo

With the above info will your answers change?

Thanks & God bless

hiv is transmitted through...
unprotected vaginal / anal intercourse
sharing iv drug works
mother to child

hiv is NOT transmitted through oral sex or masturbation.

further testing is not needed...you had no risk

you never had a serious concern to test, and you've tested negative. just move on. nothing to worry about.

They didn't pose HIV risk at all so you don't need to get tested.
