This student have hiv?

Hi doctor.  So about 8-9 months ago I touched a student who had a bleeding wound. I accidently touched it with my wound. My wound was a injury isnide my fingernail and the blood did not touch inside of it. This student to me looks like he has HIV. He does poor in school and always look sleepy. He does not attend any school services such as going to the nurse, etc. About 1 month after touching his blood I got a fever. Just a fever for 4-6 days I believe. Do I have HIV?

That sounds for me like a small wound.. But i think you would always find a way to make it a high risk event. For your peace of mind get tested and Post your negative result.

It wasn't that small of a wound it still bleeded a bit. It's like a wound that if you take a paperclip and stab it under your nail...

The wound is small, small wounds gets closed very fast. Also a quick contact with the blood is not enough to infect you.

How did you know I had no risk? His blood was really close to my wound. It's a wound under my fingernail and the blpod is really near it. Also I'm not trying to profile anyone I am just trying to give as much detail about him to see does he match HIV symptoms.

You did not have any risk of HIV.  You should NOT be profiling somebody as HIV infected just based on how they look or act.  This is a very irresponsible activity.

Looks mean NOTHING when it comes to HIV.  Put yourself in this person's shoes.  Would you like it if you were profiled as HIV+ just based on how you look?
