To dear Mr. Teak

Hi Teak, First of all, I appreciate to you for your great help.
I did a rapid test and the results was negative that was done 4 months after the exposure.

But Mr. Teak, I saw your post : Neither the Abbott RealTime nor the Roche COBAS AmpliPrep/COBAS TaqMan HIV-1 assay is intended to be used as a donor screening test for HIV-1 or as a diagnostic test to confirm the presence of HIV-1 infection.  And Joggen replied you that : It is not accruate enough.

My test was done by Alere Determine HIV 1/2. I know this is the product under Abbott. It is not a accruate test??
Do I need to do the 2nd test by Elisa III?

Hi Dear Teak, thank you for your reply. So the rapid test paper -- DETERMINE HIV1/2 is can be the diagnostic test of HIV. Right?
And what you mean was if the result was positive, it cannot be 100% diagnostic. But if the result was negative, then it really is negative?
