You never had an exposure.
"So can my mind be at ease that i got tested at 6 and 12 weeks and all tests come back negative?"
Yes.
not sure if 12 or 90 days is the main cut off. I did a test at 4 weeks and one at 7 weeks .. Next week will be my 90 day test and i hope I will get clear.
12 weeks is a lot better than 7 weeks :) so im sure you are ok.. but i will wait for nursegirl or Teak to answer they are the experts.
If you did infact used a condom they will tell you you had no risk
I used a condom and i know i did as i was not drunk I seen the condom .. but still cant sleep as i used to :(
What i have read here is if you used a condom then you had no risk
and your testing was not required
Yes this is a main GUM clinic attached to a hospital its NOT a small community clinic.
So can my mind be at ease that i got tested at 6 and 12 weeks and all tests come back negative?
I know theres some doctors on here who state they have never seen a 6 week test change, so surley if it was to my 12 week test would have changed.
Just i don't get much time to go to the clinic as they are not open every day and i work everyday!
I just want my mind put a rest that a 6 and 12 week post exposure is a pretty confident result. Im told that these 4th ten tests are meant to be very sensitive and most unto date testing. Also I'm told they pick up infections 3-4 weeks post exposure ( this is only information I've read on here and i-base ect )
Thanks guys
Uk uses 4th gen test mate duo test. I know as i am in the same spot as you so i went back to the gum clinic and asked them. Its 4th Gen NHS at all gum clinics in the UK. You will only get 3rd gen at community villages
GUM clinics are on top of the science, including testing. If you want to know what test you were specifically given, you'd have to contact the clinic you tested at.
