Unprotected sex with a lady

Hi Doctar,
On Saturday Night i had unprotected sex with a pros.Being that period unfortunatly i don't have condom in this period. So i don't force her to do sex without

condom & ask her for mastrubate. But for a few second hardly 30-40 sec i insert my penis in her vagina & then get ejactuated outside. And after 2 days

(Tuesday) i am suffering with minor fever, little bit pain in neck, minor hedache, swallon throat. So is this possible i get infected from HIV. As per my

knowledge if you ejactuate outside the vagina the infection chance are rare & secondly the symptomps could not start within 2-3 days.Pls advise, I am very

worried about myself.

I've already said, symptoms are useless, you can NOT assume anything by what you perceive to be "symptoms".  One week would typically be too soon for ARS related symptoms, but again, you cannot judge a risk by 'symptoms".

You had a risk, and a risk is a risk.  You need to test at the appropriate time.

As you were already told, symptoms mean nothing...only a test will tell you your status.

Your other blood work means nothing in regads to HIV either way.  Only an HIV test will tell you your status.

Always use condoms for anal or vaginal sex.  Ejaculation outside of the vagina does not lower your risk.  Also, be sure to have standard STD testing done in addition to HIV.  You are actually at significant risk for other STD's, such as Herpes, Chlamydia, etc.  Go to a clinic or your doctor for guidance on testing for STD's.

You can obtain your conclusive negative test result 3 months post exposure.

It is possible that may be this in not HIV, perhaps some another sex disease. Secondly if this is symptoms for HIV then at this time now my RNA test should be +ve.
Every night i get stressed & found myself small fever with body pain.
Kindly suggest, I am very thankful to all of you for sharing your knowledge/Learning with us.

First of all, you CAN get HIV despite ejaculating outside vagina. There are no studies to suggest that it makes any difference. If anything, it will probably reduce chances for females, not males. So whenever you are having sex with a partner of unknown HIV status, ALWAYS use condoms.

Its your mind playing tricks on you.ARS symptoms don,t appear that early.Try not to stress to much and wait for the appropriate time to test.

hi,

1- the risk is low. it is said to be 1 in 2000 for a single act of vaginal intercourse ( female to male transmission ).
2- i don't quite understand, but i think my first answer could be relevant to this question too.
3- oral sex = no risk for hiv transmission.
4- usually symptoms occur 2-3 weeks after infection. Only a test 3 months after exposure is 100% conclusive.

you were advised correctly. you had a risk and although the risk is small
you require testing. please don't look for symptoms, it's not very useful for diagnosing HIV. only a test can determine the presence of the virus.

hi Mike..i researched in hiv ..so i can answer you questin based on my knowlege
1.comparitively less from women to men..
2.hiv mainly blood to blood transmission..there is no other proof for other transmission..i means air, touching etc..because hiv virus cannot leave more than 1 minitus...
3.oral sex not a reason for hiv transmission..
4..2-3 weak symptos will come..

Thanks Worried, Now i am little bit relax apart this i have some query, hope u don't mind to explain them.
1.What would be the chances from Infected women to uninfected men in one encounter.
2. Is intercourse together (uninfected men & infected women) makes the HIV transmission more rapidly.
3. Is oral sex is also be a reason for HIV transmission.
4. Ideally after how many days of exposure the symptoms gets reflected for HIV & when its found on test.

You are right on the symptoms. it does not appear in 2 days. Since you had an unprotected exposure (even 30 seconds), you should get tested for HIV at 3 month mark. Good Luck.
