Whats wrong with my Body. I hate this feeling

Dear Doctor, I have a query on HIV. I had sexual intercourse with 5 sex workers in Bangkok ( All protected Vaginal No Anal & Unprotected Oral sex with 5 of them). symptoms i felt FIRST: Itching all over my Body for a month SECOND: Apthous ulcers 4-5 one after other in three months post last sexual exposure. THIRD: Tongue disorders swelling in tongue come & goes never felt like this ever before. Fourth: Persistent sore throat & some coughing which is not going since six months all antibiotics failing. I have shown this to my ENT four times he says its nothing. he send me for an OPG & I have one impacted tooth. I feel lot of tightness & stiffness in my neck & throat. Swelling problems are still going on. I am extremely worried please help I am just 32 years old. Me & my wife were planning a baby but I have put this on hold. I have take two HIV TEST (RAPID IMMUNOCHROMATOGRAPHY SAMPLE SERUMS) ONE 28 DAYS POST LAST SEXUAL EXPOSURE WITH SEX WORKER & ONE 92 DAYS POST THAT EXPOSURE BOTH CAME NON REACTIVE.
The problem is persistent throat problems which is not going at all & cough. I am feeling weakness in my throat gradually increasing day by day. Do I need more testing or I am HIV free but might be something else causing this. I have not lost any weight I can eat everything & no stomach problems or fever. What is this please Help.

I will take the courage one fine day in January 2012 if lizz & everbody is saying me my symptoms are unrelated to HIV. I am sure with Gods Grace my 7 month test will definitely be negative too & then would advise everyone like lizz & all that 3 months more than enough for hiv window period.
The reason I will take this is test is not to put my wife or my future baby which we r planning at any risk. I want to be 200% sure..
Will update you all..

Cheer God Bless all eat well & be happy...

Your right thinking about HIV over and over again can cause so many problems in your life and relationship.
I say if it makes you feel better go get another test and I know you will be fine and I wouldnt say that to make you feel better because I know this is a very serious illness. I talked to about every Doctor I could and they said im fine.
However they dont feel how we feel.. Heres what im going to do im going to see if I could have some-thing else im going to tell the Doctor I have been tested and im still sick and make they check me for other things.
and if I dont get over this im going to seek help

you had NO risk and never needed testing.

if you are having health concerns, see your dr.   it's has NOTHING to do with hiv.

periiod...end of story !

Im scared because of my symptoms thats the only thing that keeps me from not letting this go.

If you did get tested again would you be 100% fine then even if you still had symptoms?

Have you been tested for other things?

Seek counselling. I mean that seriously and out of compassion and not criticism.

You do not have HIV. You need to accept that and deal with the real problem, which is guilt about your sexual activities.

If we are in the same boat then why are we so scared to take a test at 6 months mate, if 3 months is conclusive. frankly i get goose bumps when someone tells me to take test at six months which is not required according to Doctors & Moderators at medhelp & other sites to like Ibase. I have done lot of weight training & body building & now don't like to go to gym due to this HIV thingy haunting my brain again & again.

What do I do mate...

This might make you feel better I have Sore throat, cought, sore tongue and  my back and arms hurt and the doctors said I didnt even have a HIV risk so it could be some-thing else because im having the same thing.

Also the doctor that tested me told me 3 months and she said in all her years of doing HIV testing she never seen anyone take longer than 3 months some Doctors still prob say 6 months but never seen it change.
If you tested NEG after 3 months dont worry im not anymore im going to looking into what else it could be.

Also I think if you were having acute HIV symptoms it would be gone by now and so would your sore throat( the acute stage wouldnt last 7 months)
and you said you had protected sex so thats always a plus

What did your Doc suggested mate, my MBBS Doc told me 6 months test needed. MY ENT said who is very highly respected Doctor checked my throat & told me you dont need any tests at all he told me you have impacted wisdom tooth & he was correct confirmed by my OPG report. I asked him do i need tooth extraction he said know not needed at the moment.
The lab technician who did my test for HIV said to me your two tests are conclusive don't need any more HIV test.

Now I am very confused whom to believe & whom not bcoz still I have Sore throat & cought & sore tongue some times. Its been 7 months now & this bloody HIV thingy is not completely going from my brain coz my sore throat reminds me every day there is something wrong with my body which is unconfirmed.
This is making me anxious to test & go through that pain of Hiv Test one more time.
What to do very confused dont want to infect my wife at all.

Maybe if you dont trust my answers you should search the multiple exact same answers given by the three posters that you quote, and who all know a great deal about HIV as well.

I can assure you that three months is the window period and that you dont have HIV, however desperate you may be to convince yourself otherwise.

Is it three months for a  RAPID IMMUNOCHROMATOGRAPHY SAMPLE SERUM BLOOD TEST AS WELL.(Third Generation Test)

MY REPORT READS : HIV ANTIBODY I & II NONREACTIVE @ 92 days

I am very healthy man going to gym for training since ten years now never felt sick before not any drugs just liquor & beer twice a wee.
I hope my fears are ridiculous & unwarranted to HIV & you guys are right but should I go ahead & plan a baby with my wife without taking a 6 month test. my question is  to LIZZIE & Teak & Get it Right who seem to b experts here?

Thanks

You do not have HIV. Three months is the standard window test around the world ( 12 weeks in uk, 13 weeks in US) and is actually shorter in other parts. Any website saying 6 months is outdated.

sir, its 3 mos not 6 mos 100% conclusive, if you are heath free.
Anyway, you don't have an hiv concern if you only did protected sex, no risk there, and not only hiv but many factors can cause all the symptoms you have.     it's a good idea to have a doctor see your symptoms.
just relax :)

I have read a  three month test is not 100% accurate the window period can be until 6 months & am so scared to test for HIV one more time coz I know that 1 hour to wait for results OMG its so stress full mate, had gone through this twice, extremely relaxed after negative tests. But this ongoing sore throat is killing me mate, what this could be if no HIV. I have take 3 blood counts & positive & negative points  in all three reports at interval of one month is as below :

First Report :
Hemoglobin @ 3 moths post exposure : 12.9
Platelets : 2.02 lac
lymphocytes : 46% (indicates viral infection - scares me) (did study on lymphocytes thought it says in hiv infection lymphocytes always low never high)
RDW : 15.7

Second Report :
Hemoglobin @ 4 months post exposure : 13.2(increase)
Platelets : 2.7 lac(increase)
lymphocytes : 40%
RDW : 15.7 (Xteremely high)

Third Report :
Hemoglobin @ 6 months post exposure : 13.5 (increase)
Platelets : 3.02 lac (increase)
lymphocytes :45% (increase)
RDW : 18 (increase)

I have read hemoglobin & platelet count goes down in hiv. in my case its reverse. I pray to God every morning only one thing I don't have HIV please spare me God for my stupid sin on cheating my wife.

HONESTLY advise me mate do I need one more test because I don't want to infect my wife & I want a healthy baby.
Is my three month test 100% conclusive or I curb my fear & test again at 7 months post that stupid sexual oral exposures with CSW's?

Cheers & let God be with every one of us...

Your symptoms are not HIV related because (a) Your exposure presented no risk of HIV transmission and (b) you have had a negative test at three months after the exposure.

Work with your doctor to resolve your symptoms, but be assured they are not HIV related.
