Urethritis - HIV concern

Hi,
Does Urethritis infection after exposure indicate that the condom didnot work.I've seen in several sites quoting unptotected intercourse as the reason of urethritis.I used condom but after i was diagnised with Urethritis I'm worried that condom was not used propely or broke.
I had the following symptoms after exposure.
1)After 2 weeks of exposure > Rash on palms , spread to the entire palm and skin on finger tip got hard/scaly and peeled off.
2)4 weeks post exposre , I had pain/burning sensation while urinating , was diagnised with urethritis and was treated with Doxycycline.
3.)5 weeks post exposure had mild rash on penis.

I'm really worried that condom didnot work.

Thanks

    * After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
    * Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension
    * Continuing to post upon your return will result in a permanent ban.

Hi,
In most of the sites , the cause of Uethiritis is given as unprotected sex.Does that mean that the condom didnot work properly. ?I used a condom but still was diagnised with Urethritis.Does this put Me in a risk of acquirirng HIV as well ?

Thanks

The fact that you had no risk coupled with your negative Duo,it's time to call it a day and forget about Hiv because you don't have it.You're safe.

Hi getitright77,
Thanks for the assurance. Is the DUO test at 4 weeks mark  a conclusive one ?.or should I wait for the 3 months mark ?I'm only worried because of the symptoms coming one after the other.
Thanks.

Nothing to do with Hiv.Your sex was protected. Also, that 4 week DUO is proof that you don't have Hiv.Have a great day.
