Using Prednisone for long time and HIV test
Hello Doc. I had a sexual exposer 4.5 months ago. HIV COMBO test came negative after 46, 70, 124 and 138 days . I have been taking 5 mg Prednisolone daily for last one year . I have below concern 1. Prednisolone can delay antibodies? 2. These results are conclusive or need to repeat at 6 months?
Oral, anal or vaginal and did you use condom?

Vaginal n oral
It won't delay the antibodies. A person who takes a duo only needs to test once after 4 weeks, so you have over-tested. Further testing will indicate hiv fixation.
