Very confused ....Please HELP!!!

Hi,

This year went to legal brothels in Brisbane (Australia) and, I had Protected viginal sex with couple of ladies on 15th and 17th Feb 2010 (There was no oral sex performed). If I can recall then there was no breakage of condom. Since then life
has changed for the worst - One is the guilt (I'm married) and other the sickness.

After that I had unprotected sex with my partner on the 19th Feb and few more times till the 24th Feb. We were overseas (my country of birth) and on the 25th Feb I had lower back pains for few days - It went away after I took few pain relief pills.

Next, After the 28th feb I had a sore throat and cough, also I it felt as if I had fever - but not sure of the temprature. I had a severe cough and I did sleep for couple on night because I was coughing continuously. After taking some Anti-biotics I was ok after 4-5 days. I usually fall sick when I go overseas
to my hometown.

Same time, my wife was having sore throat and cough. but her throat was not as bad as mine.

Next, on the 6th March she had fever of 103 (2 days) and also had diarrhea at the same time (2 days)  - after taking medicine she was felling a bit ok - but she was feeling very tired all the time. (The doc adviced her she had some throat infection - that caused the fever and she was not eating well during her being
sick that was the reason she was sick)

She was feeling fatigued/tired for another 7-8 days. she could not ever move out of the bed during this time. Till the 18th March she fully recovered.

I noticed that she had some rash on her shoulders - she was not sure when she got the rash but she had similar rash one month back at the same place.

On the 20th March I was feeling sick and sweating a lot for couple of days.

From the 31 march - till today, I have been having pains which keep on moving from one part of the body to another. I have had tingling sensation in the cheeks (1 day), some pain in the left eye (half day) and my throat still sores at times. And for the last 3-4 days I have noticed that there are some light red dots on my palm of hands???

And today I have few red spots on my upper chest - a rash???

1. Do i need to get tested for HIV?

((8 days ago)I have already told my wife about my encounters, and there is lots of tension at home. I don't want to make things worst by discussing that we need to be tested.... So, I am looking for some reassuarance???)

2. Can my wife be infected from me, before I started showing any symptoms?

3. Also, I read on your website one of the doctors said that it takes 10-14 days of becoming infected before someone can infect others? Is this correct???

4. do ars symptoms come at same time, or they can come in intervals of few days?

5. Most of my symptoms are coming after week 5 - is that common?

I know its kind of long but please HELP!!!

Firstly, Thank you doctor for all of your help!

Since last week, I have been feeling very relaxed and I am feeling very well. Thanks to your reassurance. Also i get my result for NON-STD test early next week, would update you once I get the results.

As I mentioned earlier I start feeling very low and worried only when my wife shows any symptoms?

She has had lots of pimples coming over her face, like a new pimple every day..
today her nose went all RED and it started burning... she put ICE for 30 mins to get the burning off.

Also, this is the second month her flow is very slow for her menstrual period?
last month she thought that it might be due to stress but now we are very happy and relaxed. But today I am bit worried.


Does the onset of acute hiv affect the menstrual cycle of a woman  ????

Sorry about posting another question... I am still experiencing symptoms daily ... like pain in neck, hands and feet going numb when I am sleeping and had sore throat for over a week and had fever for 1 day....

I am not sure if Anxiety can cause all these symptoms... My pain is moving from one part of the body to another and I never feel 100%....

Also is Peripheral Neuropathy a symptom of ars?

And is it possible that a condom fails... like small holes... rather than being torn apart??? I say this because I remember the CSW was sucking me with condom on ... it was more of a BITE than sucking while performing and oral ?????

Could that cause a failure of a condom ...???????

Since the last time I wrote, I have had a series of more health issues.

The more I try not to think about hiv, more symptoms are showing up, and its making me nervous.

like, I had burning sensation in the palm of my hands( 2-3 days),
my hands go to numb when I am sleepin (it's been happening for last 3-4 days),
Next, I had a sore throat for last two days (much better now), have red sore in my throat,
and Today, my mouth is feeling dry, and my tongue is very white.

Now, I am feeling very confused and worried.

Should I get seek advice from the expert's forum ????

1. Since, Y'day I have burning sensation in both the palms of my hand? Is that a symptom of ars?

2. Also, Could the ars symptoms show up after week 6?

1. Yes, in the sense that you are probably just noticing things about your body more acutely.

2. According to Dr. HHH, 10-14 days.

1. Could STRESS and Anxiety be cause of my recent sickness (pains and red spots on hand)?

2. Also, if someone is recently infected, how long before they can infect other people?

They are not relevant to your situation since you were not at risk. The only thing that I will say is that your symptoms do not resemble ARS- it sounds like you both had a garden variety virus. Coughing is not an HIV symptom.

You were not at risk for HIV and don't need to test. Work on your guilt.
