Want to know something???

If someone(usually a man) has a open sore on their head, and they brush their hair, and you use the brush after that and penetrate the skin, is it possible for you to contract it?

Another question, if you can catch it from drug usage, then how come you cant catch it from other sharp objects like knives, safety pins, earrings, thumb tacs, does it have something to do with the surrenge on the needle.

Just wanna know for info sake

Teak is right but with a very short answer... In order for infection to occur, three things must happen:

1) You must be exposed to pre-***, semen, vaginal secretions, blood or breast milk,
AND
2) The virus must get directly into your bloodstream through some fresh cut, open sore, abrasion etc.,
AND
3) Transmission must occur, directly from one person to the other, very quickly (the virus does not survive more than a few minutes outside the body).
