What is the percentage of getting HIV in this situation?

Hi there. I recently had anal sex and later realised I have anal fissure. During the sex the condom broke for 1 second and I told him to take his penis out immediately. What is the percentage of chance of me getting infected with HIV of this 1 second contact with pre-cum if he is HIV positive? 100%? 90%? or 85%? I'm really worried and that's all I could think of the past whole week and I have to wait 12 weeks until I will find out!! I'm very annoyed because I always use condom even though I had sex with 100+ guys and I ask lots of questions before meeting. This is the one guy I met on the street that I spent 1 months texting him back and forth, asking him questions. He doesn't speak english very well so I used google translate. And when I finally met him I still wasn't comfortable because I worried that he doesn't understand my question properly. The condom had to break on the guy I'm most unsure about his status with! And i don't bleed very often but it had to happen when my anus was bleeding!! Please give me some advice! I'm super worried and paranoid... Thanks so much!!

Ok... Thanks... But I just can't help but to worry... I really hope it'll be negative too... Just a bit of update on my situation... I have mile fever and running nose today. But it's mild. When I went out today my body was sweating and I felt tired. I will accept my fate if I really do have it. I don't know how I'll react when I finally find out. Thanks for helping me out.

You can't contribute any symptoms, of lack thereof, to an infection.  They mean nothing.  You are not the only person on this site that believes their having symptoms, and will eventually test negative.  Take a DUO test at 28 days.  That's the best we can tell you.

Hi guys. So I have an update on my situation. It's been exactly 1 week after the risk exposure and I'm starting to have symptoms like head feeling tight, tired, muscle and joint ache, mild fever, feeling cold and a few dry cough. And I haven't had any close contact with people for the past week so the chance of me catching a flu is very low. I'll see how I feel tomorrow, but from the timing I'm guess I really could have got it...

Thanks you guys for the suggestions. May be I'll ask him and see how he reacts... But it's so hard to read his reaction because he doesn't speak english well and I think he misunderstands me most of the time. But I probably won't do the test with him... I don't really want to meet him again. The reason I met him because he said his penis was big, I asked if his penis was 10 inches he said yes. When he came it was more like 10 cm... So disappointed. Then when I asked him a month before he said he only had sex with 2 people, and after we had sex he said 1... I feel he can't understand what I ask properly most of them time. But the slightly more comforting thing is that when I told him I slept with 100+ people he didn't believe me, even when I said 50 he still didn't believe. I asked him to guess and he guessed 5-6, I said yea... So sleeping with 100 people is impossible to him, so there's an innocence in him, so I hope he really is clean and have not slept with many. Also when I suggested that I might have HIV would you still like to have sex with no condom, he said sex with condom. So that might suggested that he doesn't want to catch anything. Having safe sex is so much work. I have to analyse everything people say and their answers everytime. Love having sex all the time with different people can be a lot of work... Need to find a bf haha

By the way I woke up with my throat super dry and a bit sore... It is a week after I had sex with him... Could it be the symptoms of HIV? I'm so stressed. Omg i shouldn't have met him! I'm so anxiously now! Anyway I have to go looking for a job now... Being anxious has stopped me from doing that for a few days, I have to go find one! Have a nice day guys and thanks for the helps again.

Yes, but at the end of the day it's only your test that matters.

or you can take him along with you and get him tested as well then your mind can be really at ease

I can understand why you do not trust him.  HIV is a scary thing.  However, given the fact how brief this was, I completely expect you to test negative.

Thanks a lot JamesD. I'll google what a DUO test and an Antibody test is, and I'll make an appointment. Yes I heard the condom pop and I had him remove himself immediately. I love sex but I'm super paranoid about getting anything. I kept asking him if he has HIV afterward and he says no and thinks I'm crazy... But I still don't trust him.

There's no need to play a numbers or percentage game. You had a lower level risk because you were protected until your condom broke, and you said you had him remove himself only a second, which is good.  Only thing is that is it still a risk. I would recommend a DUO test at 4 weeks.  Or an Antibody test at 6-8 weeks.
