inconsistancies with facts

Okay acording to many sources HIV transmission from female to male through unprotected sex has an average transmission rate of 1/2000 exposures ie. if you dont use a condom with a hiv pos woman and you have normal vaginal sex, your chances should be only 1/2000 of becoming infected.

So my question is then, how does the virus pass at all as statistically for there to be a fair chance of transmission you have to have sex 2000 times with a pos source and  most people im asuming, or at least the vast majority catch it from a unprotect one night stand as it were ....even receptive anal sex...the most risky form of intercourse only carries a 1 in 500 risk when unprotected....SO IF THIS IS TRUE, WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE GET INFECTED THROUGH THIS WAY AND MORE OVER PEOPLE CATCH THIS ON THEIR FIRST AND ONLY SEXUAL EXPOSURE!!!!! i do not believe these stats at all.....THEY JUST DO NOT AD UP!

You don't use statistics to assess your risk, you test to know your status. Use condoms correctly and consistently and you can avoid HIV and most STDs.

those facts are useless some people live with HIV + PEOPLE and never get infected and some get infected from first time statistics with medical issues are useless just stay protected and that is the BEST you can do
