Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.
Approx 7 weeks ago today I had unprotected oral, female received me in her mouth, followed by protected vaginal sex. A latex condom was used, and I don't believe it broke. That same morning, about 12 noon I noticed a tingling sensation at the tip of my penis, and the need to pee although I didn't really need too, this kept happening constantly.
I went to the doctor and I had a HIV and full screening of all other STI/D's done about 3 days after the encounter. All came back negative. He gave me the Chlamydia tabs just in case it didn't show. He said within 2 to 3 days it would subside if it was that, the tingling continued, it was extremely annoying. I went back 5 days after, he said it wouldn't be anything else and referred me to a urologist, and said I was okay to continue my relations with my partner of 7 years. The penile irritation continued for about a week and the stopped. Then I read that it takes at least 3 days for most STI's to show, so I went to another doctor, she seemed more concerned, and got me to do the tests again, apart from the chlamydia and the gonorrhoea. This was at the 40-41 day mark of possible infection. All came back negative. I just did the test again on the 45 day mark, as the doc wanted one after 6 weeks for more accuracy, which came back negative, the tests done were the antigen and antibody tests. My doctor told me to wait until I do the 3 month test to go back to relations as normal, so there was a period between the male doctor saying I was fine, and the female doctor saying to wait where I had unprotected sex with my partner for approx. 2 weeks. I am very worried if I have HIV I have given it to her. That's the last thing I want to happen.
I had a cold at about the 2-3 week period, it is winter and many people are sick at the moment with elongated colds, mine lasted about 14 days, it subsided, then 2 days later I am short of breath again, and have a slight irritation in my throat, it is not sore, but something doesn't feel right, also the nodes in my neck feel larger, like almond size. I haven't felt feverish however I did sweat in bed a bit about 2 nights in a row, and have been weezy for a few days also, this weezyness also came and went about 2 weeks ago, I simply have not felt right ever since possible exposure. I am even more concerned now for my partner, she has had head aches for the last 2 to 3 days and had muscle soreness for one of those days.
I don't understand why one doctor was not concerned and the other is, she has made me worry, especially when she said "never say never".
What are the chances I'd have picked up HIV? And then given it to my partner with whom I'd have had unprotected oral and vaginal with multiple times over the 2 weeks I thought I was safe?
Also having the cold and weezyness, and irritated throat, are they concerns? I also had small white dots on my lips which the doc said were just glands, and a patch on my tongue which she said was atlas tongue, however every time I look I seem to have something, I had a blood blister in my mouth just the other night. I am so extremely worried I can barely function, to think I had one night of a complete **** up and ruined not only my life, but my partners, makes me want to off myself.
Any help would be appreciated.
