Worried About Exposure Symptoms

Hi Doctor,

I am 28 year old man and had visited a red street in Pune in Maharashtra, India in June 2010. I met a women (sex worker) and went to her room. I put off my pants, she wore me two condoms and I laid on her and started massaging my penis on her thigh and stomach. During this time the condoms come out of my penis. I feared and after that I just sat on the bed and masturbate myself and fingers on her body (not in vagina) and ejaculated in condoms. I didn't have a sexual intercourse with her.

I came out of the room and got very much scared of exposure of HIV. I felt very uneasy. I got cold, fever and pain in my throat. ( Not a severe cold or fever,felt uneasy on nose, throat and head). I reached my room in 1 and half hour and had a bath. After that I booked my train ticket on the next day to my home town about 32 hour long journey from pune, Maharshtra. I had cold,fever,throat pain ( Not a severe cold or fever,felt uneasy on nose, throat and head) during my travel and reached home next day. I felt very anxious for next 2 days.(Total about 5 days of anxiousness).

After that I started normal life with friends and go on my days. I had got fever and cold in November 2010.I didn't remember any other illness such fever and cold in the period June 2010 to November 2010. Got anxious during Feb 2010 to present when only I hearing and talking about HIV or thinking about future. Almost hoped that I did not expose to HIV.

Two weeks (In Feb 2010) ago I got job offer from foreign country which should need a medical test for HIV, Hepatitis and TB to get visa. Now I am feeling very much anxious or worried about the medical test to be got passed. Now I also feeling that I have fever, cold,throat pain and itching on body. And very much anxious can't eat and sleep or even can't stay for 1 second without thinking this. And now I thinking such things that one who has HIV. Yesterday night I myself concluded that I have HIV because I got symptoms like fever, cold and throat pain after the above said incident. I also heard that acute HIV symptoms has fever,cold and throat pain (Flu like Illness).

I should have medical test in coming week or month by the company to get visa. Please advice me. I am very much
anxious. Please Please Please.................

Is there any chance to transmit through skin and sweat? Inner foreskin of my penis might be touched with her skin on thigh and stomach..

I don't remember that, I got fever or cold within one month of the incident said on first post. I feel. The incident happened in June 2010. I remember a fever in Nov 2010 or Dec 2010. And one thing I remembering that I went to doctor in Nov 2010 for ear check up, thought that problem with ear by using mobile phone.  After that from Jan 25 to  present I feel warm body, Cold like nose. Some problem with Ear, throat, total head.

I am sorry to disturb you...I feel so scared and thinking about this every seconds of the day.If I am HIV positive, that's all. Die.

You  are  saying  that  the  incident  got  happened  8 months  back  and  you  are  having  symptoms  now. So, no need  to  worry  about  it... I  think  that  no  test  is  required  further..

I am feeling itching presently ( only during walking or after that short time)  after 8 months of the above said incident. Firstly I felt when I started walking in the evening. When I started walking a month ago feel very much itching when my clothes touches the body.I feel itching only no other marks in the body. The current temperature is 15-24 degree Celsius here.

I feel very warm presently for the last two weeks. And head Ache. cold like nose, ear has some irritation. ( After 8 months of the above said incident).

And one more doubt is that, If I infected by the above said incident some how (she deliberately did, or accidentally unknown to both of us) , Is there a chance of symptoms I felt after the above said incident in my first post or the symptoms I have presently shows the HIV infection?

Please advice me...Within 2 week I will be tested. I am very much scaring about this...

Hi, can  you  please explain  about  the  itchings  that  you suffered  with earlier...??...how  that  itchings  occured...??...  whats  your  condition  while  itching..??..didi  u  get  any  red  colored  inflammations  while  itching...??

Move on, you had no risk from that incident.

What I mean is that, If one has exposed to HIV have symptoms such as fever, cold and throat pain within minutes,hours,1 day or 2 day?

You had NO RISK so that means your symptoms are NOT due to HIV

You can't acquire the virus in the fashion you describe. One needs to have unprotected vaginal / anal sex to contract the virus. Nothing that you describe puts you in risk of HIV.

Your fears are irrational and the symptoms that you mention are due to anxiety. Please take some time out to learn about HIV and it's transmission and move on.
