am I at risk?

I had a prostitute spit on my penis during masturbation..I know spit isn't supposed to be infectious but what if there was a small amount of blood in it? I did not see any...I was tested with a 4th generation test at 26 days and was negative

Hi there.  Your question has been fully answered by our member both patiently and accurately that what you write of is not a risk for HIV.  There is nothing to add to that so we are now closing this thread.  We wish you the best.

They don't test using saliva. Its called oral mucosal transudate which is taken from your gums. There is a difference. Now, you have been assessed as having no risk. No more 'buts' and 'ifs' please.

Thanks for all your help just one more follow up and I'm done..if there was a substantial amount of blood in the spit and it landed right on the tip of someone's penis what would the risk be? That is all thank you

No. And there are no doctors here. The doctors forum has been closed for some time now.

Ok I've read same things from doctors on this site in past that said this wasn't cause fir concern but I just can't get past it can't believe I could be so stupid
What I don't understand is how can they test for hiv in saliva but everyone says that it can't be transmitted through it

You had no risk whatsoever and didnt need to test. Saliva has enzymes and bacteria that deactivates the virus (if any). Since you tested, take it as good and move on. You don't have a hiv concern.

Thanks for the help been going crazy but even if there was a trace amount of blood it still wouldn't be cause for concern? Are you a doctor?
