Hasn't this person already taken a 3 month test?

Teak, that's why I posted.

5 months is not early by a long shot. I'm talking less than three months.

Any test taken to early can give you a false negative test.

All blood tests are more sensitive than oral or urine test. I would agree with sunarethebest and go with an Oraquick Advance 20 minute test or a  Reveal G2 Rapid HIV-1 Antibody Test which takes 3 minutes.

There is no such thing as a false negative at 5 months from last exposure. If you had your exposure 5 months ago and you test negative that means you are negative.

And the possibility of a false positive is mostly in pregnant women. Even not its like less than 1% chance of a false positive.

Seriously though. You're obsessing over which particular test to get? You know the CDC says 3 months negative is conclusive. If you read any of these forum posts, many, many people have stated that rapid tests have a possibility of false POSITIVE, not negative.

I personally like the Oraquick Advanced. You get your results in 20 minutes.
