So there is no way at all it will come back positive?
Bump? Can someone help me? Go into detail about why I am not at risk?
Yes I do deal with anxiety and I think that's what is making me worry like crazy. I know I never had unprotected sex so I know I should be fine but my mind keeps telling me otherwise. Thank you for your post. It made me feel a lot better. So even tho I was most likely wet it still could not be any risk? The place closes in an hour so I really need to get moving but I've been so scared to go.
I even asked my doctor about it when she told me she was going to test me for it, told her the situation and she said you should be fine, so I heard it from a medical professional but I'm still afraid
Even the doc said not to worry....LISTEN to her. Trust me, the relief you will feel after the results is much better than the anxiety you are feeling right now. Please feel free to re-post your negative results when you receive them.
Honestly I'm only worried about the one guy. The one who had put the his penis head right at my whole. We were talking for a while and I found out he was married and cut all communication with him once I did but when his wife told me she said don't worry you aren't the first one and that just scares me cuz I didn't/don't know his status.
Penitration is a risk, not rubbing.
Ugh just went and they were not taking anymore people. Online it said they closed at 1130, I got there at 11. Another week of worry unless I can go early one morning
If its been more than 12 weeks since your exposures, and you are in North America, you should be able to find OraQuick Oral Solution Antibody tests for sale at any pharmacy. These tests take about 20 min, and are considered conclusive at 12 weeks since last exposure. You seriously have no risk from the exposures you describe, and the psychological benefit you will receive from your results will far outweigh your current anxiety. They cost about $40. A small price to pay for peace of mind.
Thank you. I actually just left walmart trying to see if I can find something like that and no luck. I'll either go to a pharmacy and get one or I'm just gonna go Monday morning before work and just wait. I know I was a pain and I thank you both for your help today. It made me feel better about it all.
Go where? You didn't have a risk at all, you don't need to test for what you described.
Well my doctor gave me routine lab work to get done so I'm not going only for a HIV rest, I am going because it's routine lab work that I need done and a HIV test just so happens to be on the list.
I just called a local HIV/AIDS and I asked her the same question and she said if there were fluids then I could have been at risk. I am really freaking out now.
Most medical experts wouldn't even recommend testing based on this single episode. If you have not been tested in the last year, now would be a good time. Not because you put yourself at risk from these exposures, but because all sexually active people have a responsibility to themselves and their partners to know their sexual health status.
