Primary hiv infection... liklihood

Hey,

Recently (couple of weeks) i broke up with my long term partner of quite a few years and visited a legal brothel in the local area to try and get my mind off her and get over her. She was on top of me, but there was a condom used.

The very next day i had a sore throat and felt like my lympth nodes were swollen... The next day my inner thighs were burning and I put bepathem on it and it seamed to calm it down. Admitantly i was getting jock itch from the heat and that a few days prior.

About a week later, I noticed a yellow coating on my tongue acompanied with 4 white enlarged spots at the back of my tongue. I went to the doctors and he suggested that it was a bacteria infection and gave me some medication. I was also tested for hiv and other stds which have come back clear. My throat is still sore and feeling dry.

My concern is do i have HIV? The doctor said that the throat infection is a sign of someone who has been infected for years and it is not anything to worry about.

I've been feeling rather weak and lethargic, but i suspect that is because on average i've been getting a couple of hours sleep a night.

I'm really struggling with my life atm , firstly the loss of my partner and secondly the concern i have hiv.

Other than waiting 3 - 6 months, is there something i can do? I know testing is the only way to know for sure, but any help would be beneficial.

I would also appreciate honesty and I have promised myself to abstain from any form of sexual interaction until i get a clean bill of health.

Thank you for your time... I really appreciate it and feel somewhat relieved but i'll get tested at 12 weeks again just to be 100% sure

Your questions have been answered. See your doctor for your throat is has nothing to do with HIV. End of discussion.

Sorry for being so paranoid, i'm not in a good way atm emotionally...

So mouth sores a week after exposure is not a sign of HIV or would there be any other symptoms showing after 1 week?

Please answer this based on the symptoms not the events what occurred.

You had protected sex, no risk.
Test 3 months for 100% conclusive, but like I said you had protected sex.
