confused!

hi

I had a 19 week(4 months 3weeks) negative test from the lab(duo antibody test)i went back to the doctor today for my regular visit and he says my test are a good indicator but only a 6 month test is conclusive.he said he never seen anybody test positive after 19 weeks.but it can happen.my question is why so much confusion?

no reason to stress...you DONT have hiv

he took more blood for another test.this will be 6and a half months post exposure.i felt like i was in the clear but now i have to be stressed waiting for results.you made me feel better by saying 4 and a half is conclusive.so there is no need to stress?last question thank you both.

go tell your dr that the 3 month testing guideline has been in effect since 2004
