help in Boston MA / So Confused

I recently found out my wife has clamydia. She is faithful and I wasn't hence I am assuming the female stripper I had oral sex with (69) both ways was the cause of this clamidya. The day she told me she had it I had unprotected (insertive, receiving) a blow job from a guy in a glory hole. I know (wtf) right? This was the first and LAST time in MY Life I ever allow a man to blow me without a condom. My questions is this as I am petrified of dying. What are my odds of acquiring hiv becasue of my status in having clamydia without even knowing about it while being blown and could I actually maybe even caught hiv from the stripper? Please help a married man with kids? SO COnfused I have read stores by men stating they did contact hiv from blowing or being blown. I also heard you can catch hiv from going down on a woman...

No it doesn't.

The cases are "after reports", where after someone tests positive they tell what sexual activities they have had (and the number is very few). But as Teak pointed out the studies fail to back up the thinking that oral sex is a thransmission route.

Never had sex since my marriage without a condom or approval of my wife EVE. My wife likes other women only and has had only 2 experiences with me present. I am absolutley confused how she got it unless I had it in my mouth... I do not cheat nor does my wife. Our experiences are always protected an open.

I have licked alot of p*&ssy, so possibly I could have it in my mouth or not.

After 15 days I know have a slightly painful lump under my arm right side not in the pit but near my nipple near the ribs. I am freaking out and I am so nervous. The CDC says there are documented cases although I can't seem to find these people online to read about there case. If it never happens why can;t the CDC say so and where are these case reports....

BTW - Does having Crohns Disease and taking Remicade have any bearing on transmission?

HIV and Chlamydia are transmitted very differently.  Chlamydia is very easily transmitted....it is a bacterial infection versus viral (like HIV).  Two totally different animals.

You would be best to take your questions to the STD forum for more info...as you do not have an HIV risk.

Just throwing something out there....I understand you think your wife didn't cheat, and more than likely YOU were the one to bring it into the relationship, but never say never...don't be naive.  If you are both open about your sexuality, that means your wife knows about your indiscretions?  If so, why wouldn't she go out and seek pleasure elsewhere also?

Lastly, just my opinion, but if you make it a habit of having sexual encounters outside of the marriage...you really should insist on condoms for all activities.  You've already (most likely) given your wife one STD.  That's one too many considering they are preventable most times.

Your wife is a heck of a woman...if MY husband gave me an STD, he would quickly be single!

Stay safe!

On the STD front, just a quick question. Did you test and then get treatment or did you just get treatment and then test?

My wife had Clamydia. I have tested negative for clamydia 15 hours AFTER taking antibiotics???. Could HIV also transmitted because of the clamydia. I told my wif eI have never had intercourse in my life without a condom. How did my wife get it and no she does not cheat. We are very open sexually and talk about everything. Could I have had it from performing oral on a stripper and if so could HIV be piggbacked on clamydia???? STILL Confused....

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Please educate yourself about the real risks. If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. " DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who believe that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..." DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA
"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." Dr. Hook
"The observation on thousands and thousands of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort)." DR HOOK
"I would not say your risk ,if he had HIV is "slim to none"- that's too high.  I would say they are effectively zero.  How much of his ejaculate or other genital  secretions you may have swallowed makes no difference.  EWH "
"As far as HIV is concerned, there is no known risk of getting HIV from performing oral sex on an infected partner, even if that person's genital secretions get into your eyes or if you swallow." Dr.Hook

It's not a theory, saliva will always be present in the mouth even if your tooth is bleeding.

This is still theory! Remember if blood from a tooth is present saliva may not have even come into contact with it?

A vagina or an anus don't contain saliva which is known to render the HIV virus inactive and therefore unable to infect you, that's the difference.

I appreciate your confidence and knowledge. ALTHOUGH let me pose this question. How can it be insertive anal and vaginal is considered high risk with relation to hiv infection considering insertive oral allows the penis to be open to infection through the urethra via microscopic blood similar in fshion to insertive anal and vaginal?

HIV is 500 times smaller than sperm and the pathway though the penis is similar isn't it?

Teak, my point being is if I contracted clamidya from this stripper which I did wif she was to have hiv as well wouldn't it be a possability because of the clamidya?

ok fair enough, and i understand why no females have reported contracting hiv via sucking, although there are documented cases of female to female transmission

You miss what I am saying...why even cheat is what I am saying.

STD questions post in the STD forum.

YOu are incorrect in your thinking that HIV is transmitted via oral sex and I can give you post after post from the Dr's on this site and study's that show no risk.

People misremeber, people lie...it's human nature to cover up acts that might tarnish ones reputation. Being a married male how would you feel about admitting to Dr's and your wife that you had unprotected anal sex with a male? I doubt you would admit that, you would rather say oral sex or even sex with another woman rather then anal sex with a male. You may think you would say what happened, but many people do not because this is an image driven society. And in many places anal sex is not accepted and for someone married...cheating is not accpeted.

My studies show the plausability of hiv being transmitted from the stripper to my mouth via clamidya, correct????? And VANCE, yes the stripper(women) did give me oral hence may be the possability why I contracted clamidya. Teak I have read hundreds of your posts and I am sure you can appreciate why I write to you yet stating hiv in not transmitted by oral sex is emphatically wrong. My concern is in your professional experience could I be at risk becasue I already have clamidya before he sucked me?

Think about it. I caught clamidya from eith licking vagina or geting sucked --- isn't that extremely rare????

What are your thought son the posmake of these claimsts you read i.e " I nevver had anal but I caught hiv from sucking, being sucked, going down a chic, etc"""  What do you think?

Why are you going to limit it to just men giving you oral? Why not women to?

You do not have an HIV concern. HIV is not transmitted by oral sex.
