Hiv lady and eyes

Hiv lady coughed up and spat in my eye from a short distance. I am convinced some blood went in my eye which was mixed with her saliva. I asked someone to look at my eye before cleaning myself and they said that they saw some blood around my eye. I suggest some also got in my eye as it stung like hell.

I am not ignorant and know that spittle or phlegm on its own can not spread hiv but with blood? To be honest I am scard stiff. What to do? Do I need to test? It was quite a bit of cough and spit that when in my eye from close quarters.

I have done some scouting around and haven't come up with anything really except for a bizzare case where someone was put away for 30 years for spitting at a policeman????

Thank you Teak for getting back to me. I have never had an eye operation. My eyes were quite blood shot (possible broken blood vessel) when it happened. I suffer from red and dry eyes. Would this be considered an entry for the virus? Sorry for all the questions but I am still quite concered.

Unless you have had an eye injury or operation you were never at risk.
