diarrhea sign of acute HIV infection?

4 months ago i was possibly exposed to HIV but tested negative at 3 month ELISA anti hiv tests
2 months ago i had unsafe sex with my boyfriend and he has been complaining about stomach ache and diarrhea for a week now

can diarrhea be a sign of acute hiv infection in his case? what other conditions might be responsible for it?

am just asking for information. do the symptoms of acute HIV infection occur one by one i mean first fever then 1 week later diarrhea and so on or they appear at the same time together ? or there is only one symptom for example rash?

Those on chemo, those who take antirejection meds for organ transplants and chronic IV drug abusers. You don't fall within any of those groups so you are conclusively negative as you have been told.

i didn't mean to bother or be rude

i wanted to know in what way the 6 month testing is outdated - because a 3 month is conclusive, or because there were cases of later seroconversion(than 6 months)

but thanks for your answers anyway, i'll try to be less paranoid

What should you make of what? You don't have HIV and you have a conclusive test result to prove it.

That isn't what you read. What you read is 6 month testing is outdated and has been since 2004.
