need an answer from a Dr. Potential exposure to HIV occurred to Female @ 40. Risk is risk. It's like being a little bit pregnant...Symptoms of incubation 3 days after occurred tickle in throat thrush, burning mouth blood wouldn't clot, night sweats, very swollen glands - for 3 days, then cleared, then occurred again 2 weeks post exposure, joint pain, constant night sweats, prickly skin, day sweats, exhaustion, many new blemishes, strawberry red circular dots, brown spots occurred on skin, popping up at exponentially rapid rate,-some flat like liver spots, others like very dk brown moles, very itchy, not rash, extremely hungry, nauseated dizzy, swollen lymphs, low body temp-95.6 fatigue, light sensitivity, Rna pcr nat @ 2weeks negative for hiv 1 & 2 dna pcr negative @6 weeks negative for HIV1, elisa negative for 1&2 @ 6 weeks. My primary thinks I am losing my mind and I should just be happy tests are neg, but symptoms persist @7+ weeks My ? s are should I have faith in the tests at this point, and pursue other explanation for symptoms? or have faith in them not diagnosing based on symptoms but trusting validity and reliability of tests at this point?had all other tests to rule out- lupus, lyme, epstien barr, mono,TB etc Timing has me convinced the tests are not picking up antibodies, yet or dna, or rna. Is it possible for these all to be off within this context? symptoms are solid, and consistent.Any information enlightening me on what could be happening here would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for any help from Dr.'s w/ real life experience in this arena-jj
