Concern and question about condoms

I get the picture on the purpose of condoms is hiv,std prevention and unwanted pregnacy, and also i can see how a woman is protected if she had sex with a guy wearing a condom, prevent fluids from the guy to her. But im a little fuzzy on how a guy is protected. I been sexually active for 12 years, had times where i did things unsafe but i've gotten tests, came back all negative, in fact couple months ago i had a full panal done and came back negative. After that, i've had sex with 3 escorts. One, i wasnt able to preform. (loss of sex drive due to srri's) But the other 2 i had no problem preforming, a condom was intact from start to finish, but the last situation kinda worried me. The condom is labled "Lifestyles" it said on the little package, "used to prevent hiv and other stds and pregnacy" However, it was a "sensitive condom" as in even though i wore it, it felt like i didnt have one on. Its still latex btw, the escort told me. So to conclude

1. Should i be worried about the last incident? I've hear people say having sex with sex workers isnt a good idea even with condoms. But, if sex workers were so "a danger" then why do they supply condoms?

2. How would, me as a guy, be protected if im wearing a condom... What prevents hiv from getting to me by wrapping it up?

Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Including HIV Infection, Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.

Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens.

Those "sensitive" condoms are something else, huh??

They are MADE to feel as if you are wearing nothing. Your sex was still protected and therefore it is no risk. The man is protected because the opening of his urethra is covered by the latex so that the woman's vaginal fluids cannot enter his urethra and cause infection.

Many, many sex workers realize the risks for STDs in the profession they have chosen, so they choose to protect THEMSELVES by having every customer wear a condom. They don't want STDs either!
