I know, another guy worried sick about an unprotected blow job from a sex worker!

I'm married and have been working away from home for some time. Got lonely and had protected vaginal sex with a female sex worker but she gave me unprotected oral sex. I'm worried sick that I have contracted HIV although I also know that my fears are completely irrational. Am now thinking about getting tested although I don't know how I'm going to avoid sexual activity with my wife for 3 months.

I am currently awaiting the results of urine test for gonorrhea but as I have no symptoms (lesions or discharge) and no pain - other than being conscious of my crotch all the time I am less worried about this. I also have genital herpes but didn't have any episodes when activity took place.

Can anyone offer some advice to calm my fears please?

Actually to all - JC, Lizzie and Teak, do you think that i would be wasting my time getting tested?

Hi and thanks for your response. Isn't there a theoretical chance of catching HIV from this type of activity?

I think I am just looking for a reason to continue to worry - can't seem to accept the fact that I am not at risk. I'm sure I'm just going to have to come to terms with the guilt.

oral sex does NOT transmit hiv.  in the whole pandemic of hiv, there has never been a verified case of someone contracting hiv from oral sex only.
