What will affect HIV test results??
Hello all...just a quick questio about HIV testing and what will affect it.. I have unprotected vag sex and had an HIV test at around 3 1/2 months it was negative. My question is...I take a lot of aspirin for headaches I get could this affect the results???...my public health clinic where I am said no because the rapid test looks for certain HIV antibodies...just wanted your spin on this. I also I had a 7 week test before my 14 week test both neg. I am wondering cause I had knee surgery a few days ago and they told me not to take aspirin 5 days before surgery...I only take about 250mg a day so not too much considering you are allowed 4000mg aday if you read the box. I just take one a day usually which really helps my headaches, thanks everyone.
