6 weeks is an excellent indicator of not being infected. 95-100% chance. Only 3 months however is conseidered 100% reliable.
As we know HIV needs to be tested 3 months post exposure for a conclusive result. When doctors say "baseline" testing, they refer to possibly testing right after the exposure to see what your current status is. In other words to see if you were currently infected with anything prior to your latest exposure. This is at lest my understanding as this is the way my doctor explained it to me. Hope that helps.
