concerned

Hi Guys,

I'm kinda worried. My young son just lost his first  tooth at a friends party. To my horror a lady who I expect was trying to be caring and playfull put her finger / fingers  in my sons mouth straight after to feel the gap between the teeth. His mouth obviously was bleeding due to the tooth falling out.  I don't even know this lady although I do know that she is from a country where hiv is quite prevelent and she doesn't look the healthest person I have ever seen. ( Maybe I am being unkind about her looks,  but it worried me)  She could easily have had cuts on her own fingers but stupidly I didn't think to look at the time.

I know it's a weird one but when your son is involved it kinda gets you thinking.

Please let me know if he needs a test as I am very worried.

Many thanks for your feedback. I won't start by saying any "if's and buts" but will leave the forum now and go read up on how HIV is spread. Take care to you all and thanks again.

You are worring about nothing, HIV is not transfered from a touch.
HIV is transfered from unprotected anal/vaginal sex
Infected mother to unborn child/nursing child
IV drug users

If you don't fit into any of those categories then it is not a risk. I suggest you do some research about HIV.

Sorry, I find your answer a little strange. The incident happened 100% and therefore I am worried. I haven't come on here as a worry well or whatever name people call them when they ask random questions about their health when they are fine. I would just like an answer to the above situation. I don't want to be a nuisance but am just worried. Thanks

?? why do you say that? I thought I was asking a normal question regarding a situation that many would be worried by.
