girlfriend, vibrator

Question regarding hiv transmisson...was with my girlfriend for approximately 2 years, we practiced safe sex most of the time, occasionally unprtected (a few circumstances). My concern is this. I had went to a sex shop to purchase a vibrator for us both to use. It was a quality store, clean, etc..

Anyway, bought the vibrator, the girl took it out (no gloves, I didn't see like, any MAJOR cuts/open wounds), put in batteries and then put it back in the box. Anyway, I kept it in the box for about 5-7 days (forget exact). One night was drunk, we were having sex, I took it out of the box, didn't even realize, and rinsed it very quick under sink for maybe 5-10 seconds, and just dried with my hand...we proceeded to use it for 15-20 minutes. My girlfriend develioped a UTI approximately a week later..

I know the uti is not related, but worst case scenario, the girl had some kind of cut/open wound, blood, bodlily fluid, whatever on the vibrator...is this a real risk for transmission. Should my girlfriend (and I in turn) be tested as we both tested negative before this incident...has made me very nervous. I know the hygiene aspect of this was stuupid and the uti was probably my fault, but my only "real" condern right now is hiv/hep...any input...thanks.
