sorry first of all you are not at hiv risk, if you decided to test at 3months, result will be negative
then you can test at 3 months for conclusive result
yes, I have not engaged other sex since that time.
Ok, your 3 months hiv test will be negative if you not engaged in other sex after this exposure
Stay Well, Dont stress, forget about hiv, protect yourself by using condoms
thanks for all, but i think i will re-test in 3months to persuade myself totally.
There was no exposure to HIV. Try to move on.
Cheers
You never had a risk of contracting HIV.
Some doctors tell that to be conservative. Was he even an HIV expert? Just because he was a doctor, it doesn't mean he will know everything about HIV. If you ask the same question to HIV experts, they will tell you the same thing that I told you. Your risk is non existent. You can search MedHelps HIV prevention experts forum to see Dr.HHH and Dr.Hooks innumerable responses on Oral sex.
I am still scared, the hospital use 3rd generation test measurement and the doctor told me that it would be better if I have additional test in 3 months
Its not a high risk exposure. Unprotected anal or vaginal sex are the only high risk exposures. Your result is conclusive as there was no risk to begin with. You dont need additional testing.
actually, I have an unprotected oral sex, and protected vaginal intercourse.
hi knight
If you engaged in unprotected anal / vaginal intercourse, you need to test at 3 months after exposure for conclusive result
5 weeks hiv test is encouraging
