Point is, and we've already discussed this....a medical professioinal is absolutely positively NOT going to use a syringe you hand them in your home. That's just assisine to even suggest. You need to return to your OCD conversation...that's your problem, not HIV.
medical people do go to houses in india to get blood for testing...u can call labs like religare , dr.lal path lab or visit their websites and i don't need your advice and please don't pull up old threads...
i got mistaken and they use vaccutainers which can't be used again as i spoke to them and they assured me...
but for my friends living in india make sure u get tested from a good lab or reputed hospital else just see in small labs they open the packing of syringe in front of u....
nPEP needs to be started within 72 hours of exposure. Too late. Again, please do not bump old threads.
Don't pull up old threads and post to them.

Ok even if it is a made up scenario atleast give an answer.
Trust me I respect u guys and not insulting your intelligence...
Pls tell me if hiv virus can stay active in a syringe for 24 hours or not?
Just a simple answer
We're not answering because we know it's a bunch of crap. No healthcare worker is going to just use a syringe you gave them, let alone a used one.
Come on!!!
Why not just be honest, and tell us that this is a made up scenario because you are worried about HIV for some reason.
Please do not insult our intelligence.
doctor here is telling me to get pep
should i get it?
please help
if u don't want to answer its alright but u should understand the other persons situation how nervous a person can be?
yes it happened and will anybody give me a correct answer please?
Oh my, now I've heard it all. So, a health care worker comes to your home to draw blood, yet YOU supply the equipment. Come on. Do you REALLY think we're that guillable?
hey teak first of all please believe me it happened i don't have any reason to whaste my time and yours and everybody here..
please can u explain me why there is no risk after 24 hours as i read somewhere hiv virus cannot die in a hollow bore syringe and stays alive for few days?
i am very very nervous at this time as i am feeling i will be getting infected with hiv even though there is no fault of mine?
move along means i don't have a risk or u don't believe in my question?
i didn't self draw but a person from lab came to collect my blood and i myself gave him syringe but by mistake i gave him used syringe...
i my country home collection of blood samples is permitted
No you do not self-draw blood for medical tests in India, go try to pull that off in another forum.
What country do you live in?
yes we do..
but is it risk to reuse syringe after 24 hours?
because we get blood draw at home for medical test..
pls answer i m a bit nervous
Why would you be drawing blood at home?
