Can i have acute hiv symptoms 6 weeks after possible expoure?

I had unprotected vaginal and anal sex with a women whose hiv status I don't know. 6 weeks after the exposure I started having severe and persistent cough, a sore throat and difficulty breathing. I get bouts of continuous coughing, I don't think I had any fever in the past 5 days since I started experiencing the symptoms, but I never checked my temperature so i'm not sure. Can these symptoms be related to ars syndrome? Can we have symptoms after 6 weeks of exposure (45 days). Do I need to get tested for HIV? Please answer as I'm felling very nervous and unable to sleep.

Unless you used a lambskin condom you were protected so would have zero risk. You interact with other people, so sore throats and colds are to be expected.

Sorry I misread your post and now see that you didn't use a condom, however the advice about the symptoms is the same, namely to ignore symptoms since they prove nothing.
You can do a duo test now for a conclusive result.
