8 weeks negative..bad symptoms still

I've just tested negative 8 weeks after my exposure with "oral quick". How accurate are the results with this test after 8 weeks? I've had a low grade for 6 weeks now! (up to 99.6). Feel muscle pain, have very stiff neck, can't get enough of sleep though wake up at night sometimes sweating, swollen sublingual nodes for 3 weeks, back pain. Have no idea what's going on..very tired.

There are no tests marketed or sold that will give a conclusive test earlier than three months.

There are many, many viruses that can cause fever and other symptoms. The body EVENTUALLY recovers after some time with most of the other viruses. Severe anxiety also seems to cause some symptoms of illness, and the symptoms don't seem to stop unless the anxiety stops. But like Nick said, an 8 week test is very unlikely to change with most people, since test sensitivity has improved over the years.

Your 8 week test is very unlikely to change, but follow up at 3 months for your conclusive result. Symptoms mean nothing in knowing your HIV status.  I would not worry much odds are for sure on your side

Hope this helps

I just hope that HIV symptoms wouldn't last for 6 weeks.
