Okay... in early June, I went on a long run and then practiced martial arts without much water, and later that day I became very fatigued. It kind of persisted for a day and a half, but the next morning, I woke up in a pool of sweat, and as I went to get water, I fainted. I had a headache, some canker sores, and a sore throat.A couple days or so later, I found a couple swollen lymph nodes on the back and left side of my neck. They were only slightly larger than normal, painless, could move, although they did limit the movement of my neck slightly.
Now, I had similar symptoms about a month or so beforehand in late April, mostly the stiff neck from swollen glands, sore throat, fatigue, and a headache. Eventually all the lymph nodes went away for the most part (except for this one that took a while, though I attribute that to my constant poking at it..), but over the past two weeks, two have gotten bigger, one in the center my back about 5 inches up from the crack of my butt (sorry, had no other points of reference...) , and one under my jaw on the right side, which has since gone back to normal. All the other symptoms are also gone except for the back node (which may or may not be node related, It just occurred within the past 24 hours), and what I think might be one canker sore in my mouth, though it could be due to the fact that I've been chewing my nails about this for over a month now, and poor brushing habits.
If it helps, the only time I have engaged in risky behaviors was unprotected intercourse over a year ago, last may. In december of that year I also donated blood, and they said they'd call if they had any signs of HIV or the like...
Could someone please set me straight on this? I've been reading alot of WebMD pages, and it's making me very distressed...I've been stubborn, fearful of the worst, so I never went to the doctor and as such never got tested for HIV, EBV, and never recieved antibiotics. I thought it was mono at first, but I also read that HIV can be mistaken for Mono. I do plan on getting an HIV test, I just really want to know what to expect walking in...
