immune system disorders and effect on hiv pcr rna test

Hello Friends,

I just want to know if having immune system disorders like immunodeficiency or autoimmune disorders have any effect on the result of HIV PCR RNA test. Does having the disorders give a different result. I understand that the immune disorders have effect/delay on the HIV ANTI-BODIES creation. But it does not affect the HIV PCR RNA test as the test looks for the virus directly instead of antibodies.please correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks
