important question

Question, my gf was sick in the hospital and the doctor tested her for hiv (acute hiv).  THis was about 3.5 weeks ago.    About 2 weeks ago she called and they told her that her hiv was negative and they were waiting for some more tests to come back from the hospital.  She was admitted to the hospital when she wasa sick with the guidance of her primary care doctor and that who she called for her test results.

anyway today she got a call from a hospital that shedidnt recognize the name and the message told her not to ignore it and said make sure she gives them a call back tomorow during there business hours and its not life threatening.

IF it was some hiv test that ened up being positive, would her primary doctor have called her and does that sound like a typical message for a positive result?

woldnt they do some type of pcr or dna type test for more accuracy

ok, i am just very paranoid.  Any hiv test they tested for to do with ARS would have been completed by 3.5 weeks, right?  how acurate are tests if it was during ARS, would an antibody be positive at that point?

Did it sound more like an insurance questions to you, probably? IF it was hiv would htey have said call back right away or atleast try her on her cell phone, they called her home phone?
They didnt mention anything about tests or a name, just said dont ignore this and call the hospital at the specified hours today.

No, it wouldn't be the hospital that called to begin with to give someone the results of an HIV test. It would be their PC that calls them.
