Hiv-1 Rna Viral Load and P24 Combo is eneough
Hi Doc.
I did unprotected relations in Kazakhstan and after this relations 14 days later I did Hiv-1 RNA test which is working Roche COBAS Taqman system and lowest detection limit of the test is 17 copies / mL. My result is negative.
After this test I read many articles and stressed so much and after 21 days from my unprotected sex I did P24 Combo test and result is;
HIV p24 ANTIJEN NEGATIVE 0.00, Indeks NEGATIF 0.25
HIV ½ ANTIKOR NEGATIVE 0.09, Indeks NEGATIF 0.25
Do you think this test is enough or I must wait 3 month test? İf ıu said you must wait 3 month test what is the percentage of result is comes negative pls help me doc because I am married an I did 3 times unprotected relations with my wife and She is pregnant...

there are no drs on this forum
the tests that you've taken have given you a very good indication of your status...but...MUST BE followed up at 3 months post exposure to get that conclusive result.
