Hey i have a question. I suspect i have been injected with hiv positive blood while i was drunk and asleep at a friends house that had drug abusers shooting up and they were all very sketchy looking. I went to the er and they said they couldnt tell for sure if i had a needle mark or not but it could be one. They even offered me pep. Teak lizzie vance? Was i ever at risk? Wouldnt i wake up if i was injected with hiv blood while drunk and asleep please help!

Three things..

1.  TOTALLY irrational thinking, do you have OCD?

2.  Stop drinking so much.

3.  Surround yourself with people of a better ilk.  Why would you want to get pass out drunk at a party with a bunch of IV drug abusers? Sounds either far fetched, or a really bad judgement call, in general...not because IV drug abusers are going around injecting other people.

This is completely ridiculous. Drug addicts don't care about you enough to do that, all they care about is getting high, period. You may as well not even exist in their world so it's completely irrational to think they would take the time and effort to go shove a needle in you while you're sleeping because that would take time away from their drug using activities and you're not important enough to them to bother wasting their time on.

Are these dots needle marks? I dont understand why someone would inject hiv blood into me other than the fact that if they hated me or something

Well i wish i could say that to myself vance i have pics i took of it. What dont u believe? I was at a house with drug users and i always check my arms for bruises and needle marks and when i woke up thats what i had near my vein...i hope someone doesnt think im making this up otherwise why would i post on this forum

The only way you are going to get past the paranoia is to get tested.

You might also consider changing not only your lifestyle, but acquiring friends you can trust.

Impossible for us to answer if someone injected you. Sounds more like anxiety then anything else talking.

Ok but i understand u cant tell if i have been injected and neither can i nor do the docs know for sure so what is blind,drunk? I mean i was drunk and went to sleep on their floor they do hard drugs im just worried if they injected,blood just blood into me because,they didnt like me or something idk i,didnt wake up and i,checked,my arm the next day and it looked like a dot

I doubt it. This seems like a very far-out scenario, and I agree you would have awakened, unless you were truly blind drunk. But of course I have absolutely no way to make that call; you have to do it. if in fact an injection took place, and if it was with injection equipment that had been used by someone else, then it was a high risk exposure and PEP would make sense.
