Hi Guys,
Just wondering...i have been reading so many things about HIv and its ways of transmission... but im still wondering and thinking abt it....
i have few questions i like answers for
1) i had a exposure almost 18 years back unprotected anal with some room mates..all i can say is none of them are hiv postitve cause most of them are married now and settled down.. ... i have never fallen seriously sick neither have i had any weight loss or any rashes.
2) i have had many relationships after that risky exposure most all oral sex ( me preforming and receiving unprotected oral sex)
3) if i was HIV postitve? do u think i would have survived so long with out mediacations..... im normal and i have never exprienced any sort of sysmptoms or weight loss for that matter im only gainging weight..i smoke and drink...
the reason i as for the above is cause i want to settle down and move along but my anxiety is killing me...i want to get married and have a family.. im to scared to get tested and what if my worst night mares come true? or am i over reacting?

It's improbable that you were infected given the amount of time that has elapsed but I still recommend that you test so this is no longer on your mind. Living in doubt is worse than the getting a positive result.
joggen.... why you say its improbable? you mean no one can survive with out medication if they unknowingly hve the virus for so long? this exposure happened when i was between 11 to 14 im not sure... plus the other guys im sure were not infected cause all the other 3 inculding me are normal...im still confused...do u say i shld get tested cause there mite b a chance of infection or just to ease the mental stress.... pls help me
So, you had unprotected anal sex with how many of these friends? Were you the receiving partner, or did you insert YOUR penis in their anus? No condoms were used? Have you been tested?
it was just 2 and from what i remember it was just placed at the opening with out any penetration cause i remember the head completely out side and not in...also cause we were very young between 11 to 14....do you think some one so young can be postitve? the 2 guys including me are healthy and no i have never got tested .... it was 18 years back...
all the 3 of us were between 11 to 14 this occured between 1991 and 1994 ...im in india...it happended once in a while not on regular basics.....
How did you have roommates at that age?
If you were never penetrated, then you never had a risk.
If this is still bothering you 18yrs later, then maybe just get tested and put it behind you once and for all.

sorry they were not room mates but lived in the same colony.... there was no penetration i guess...cause i remeber we use to try n push it in but it was close to impossible.cause we were only bewteen 11 to 14..the other 2 guys are normal healthy so am i.... its just worrying me mentally cause i read so much about HIV
tell me after 18 years if the person was ever infected could have he lived so long wit out any illness or healthy wit out any medication... i was told normal life span for an hiv patient wit out any medication is not more than 12 to 15 years......

your asking me to test to gt over my anxiety or you saying test cause i mite me infected? also i did not penetrate n i knw that for sure cause we were very young and did not know what was anal sex or penetration.... but my penis was at the anal opening of the otther guy but not in at all.. there mite have been precum and all the 2 guys were not hiv infected for sure .......
hi guys... i did my blood test for hiv1 & hiv2 abs +p.24 Ag the result was 0.21
HIV interpretation read NON REACTIVE.... my last risky exposure was 18 years back and unprotected oral was 2 years back..... does this mean im HIV Negtative....cause as per the labs non reactive means hiv negtative... am i right
