Cunnilingus

Hi, I get an understanding from this site there there is not risk with oral sex, getting a bj and giving cunnilingus. I recently have been searching around an on a Canadian governement site they list giving oral to a woman as low risk and say this:

To date, there have been several reports of HIV transmission through orogenital contact between lesbians (cunnilingus).17

It is from an old study:
Perry S, Jacobsberg L, Fogel K. Orogenital transmission of human immunodeficiency virus. Ann Intern Med 1989;111(11):951-952.\

Does this just mean they have been reported and no cases have ever been documented in the World.

Will anyone ever just say no Risk to the above activites and let people rest easier.

I just tested at 6 weeks last week and got back a negative result. I wasnt going to test but I thought i better to make sure.

I guess it is now wait until the 3 months for a 100% result. This waiting sucks.

Would the odds be like this ( I know you say no risk but they do say low to zero sometimes using 1/20000 (maybe that is for giving a bj who knows) Anyways, from a risk assessment does this look correct. 1/20000 chance with oral, 1/1000 chance she has it (this is very conservative as she has said she doesnt), 95% coverage with a test at 6 weeks. .00005x.001*.05 = .0000000025 Would that be 1 in 400 million? I like those kind of odds and could forget about this with a six week test.

I know from reading today that Teak believes Cunnilingus, Fingering and getting a BJ are no risk. The docs believe that it is low to zero. What would the docs say to my six week test in this situation?

Thanks for the responses. So most of the studies that say it is a risk are old and all the newer ones say it isnt. Why dont agencies change there stance down to neglibile risk then. I seen on a Australian website that they have said cunnilingus and insertive felation are no risk.

So since it is no risk or even low risk, I dont ahve to go back for a 3 month? That would be good to hear.

My doctor said even 6 months are neccessary to be 100% sure. I wish people would get educated on this.

The studies that we have to today shows that it doesn't happen at all even if one of the persons is HIV positive.

That study is from 1989, more recent studies have shown it either happens but is extremely rare or that it may not even happen at all.

There is no risk and you don't need to wait 3 months because you don't need to test.
