more likely?

I had sex with a gay male in September, I contracted gonorrhea most likely from giving him a blowjob.  The CDC said that those who have gonorrhea are more likely to contract HIV from that person if they have it.  Do you think I should worry about that.  Or do you think in my case it would be rare.  During the blowjob, there was maybe a little precum but no ejaculation.  And during the anal intercourse the condom did not break.  I would appreciate your thoughts and opinions

That's your first blowjob receiving and giving? I would say you're off to a bad start. At least you had protected anal sex.

When you read that other STDs can increase your chances 2-5 fold, it means; you already have another STD that has gone untreated. Not a new case at the same time.

You got these thiing because you were not using a condom for oral is ALL i'm saying man, so what makes sense to you now?

so was the gonorrhea maybe a just a bacteria that I got when i was sucking his penis off, and not necessarily having an open sore of some sort or something?

And?...i don't get it now, why are you bringing this up now?
I told you what i thought about you risk of hiv and gave you some friendly advice, the rest is up to you man...maybe get tested @ 3 months and get treated for anything else thats hapening in the mean time. That's all...

I have never seen a documented case of anyone contracting HIV by receiving oral sex. Unprotected or not.

I just think that although they say contracting hiv this way is low people are not taking away the right message about safe sex for all forms of sex, oral included. Think about everything else these people can contract through unprotected oral i say...

Right, i've said i think you are safe from this exposure concerned360. All i was saying is how up to date are you status wise? Maybe wait three months, do a std/ hiv test and then from there on condoms for all acts is all..nothing more than that...

But we did not use a condom during the blowjob and that is how i got gonorrhea....couldnt it still be risk? According to the CDC it is....What do you think Teak?

You are not going to contract HIV by using a condom consistently and correctly.

no it would have been this exposure, due to the fact that i have only had sex with one person

im not sure of his HIV status but know that he has been with multiple partners besides me (both protected and unprotected.

He did not perform anal sex on me but I did on him with the condom safely on my penis and did not break

Are you concerned about any of your previous exposures, or just this one? The reason i ask is ecause your exposure / risk was low and you probably don't have hiv from the exposure you mentioned. If you go through some of the other post regarding oral sex you'll see that it's a very low risk. I was surprised to learn this myself a while back, but as far i hiv is concered but people who perform the act are @ slightly higher a risk than the reciever. They say there are no known cases of hiv contracted from oral sex (either way). You may want to test just know your status and i would still personally advise practicing safe sex during sexual contact. ..
