3 months is conclusive...period...end of story.
What about the idea people should get hiv tests. Like at 6 months, what is the deal with the different idea of testing.
Have you guys ever heard of anyone testing negitive at 3 months or better 4.5 months like me and them testing postive at 6 months
I understand, and am not belittleing any of this. Thank you and I really think you all are a great help to all of us.
You are conclusively negative.
You are conclusively negative if you tested negative 3+ months after your exposure. According to your post, this is the case.
"what is with all the talk about 6, 9 and 12 months. "
HIV testing guidelines have change several times since the start of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, due to the introduction of different tests (which have become more reliable) as well as our understanding of the virus and its infection and incubation processes. Even the conservative CDC states that 3 months is conclusive, even though most people who are positive will test positive betwen 6 and 8 weeks.
"Why am I still scared."
According to you, stress, anxiety, and depression are all playing a role in your continued, irrational fear. If you cannot let go, you should seek counseling.
"What are the chances the tests are wrong"
I would say "highly unlikely," under normal circumstances. But these are not normal circumstances. You have tested much more than ncessary, so I think "impossible" is more accurate.
You are OK, and I can guarantee that there are people who would love to be in your shoes. HIV is a non-issue for you. Be well.

What are the chances the tests are wrong, or I am not showing hiv in my blood yet.
what is with all the talk about 6, 9 and 12 months.
You were conclusive after 3 months, you do not need more testing :)
Time to go WOOHOO!
