OraQuick test and chewing gum.

I took the OraQuick test today it has been a year since I had relations with the person in question so i know I have waited long enough for an accurate result  but i made a mistake, I was so anxious before taking the test today
I forgot to wait before swabbing and I was chewing gum before I took the test.
I got a negative result but will me chewing gum a few minutes before result in a false negative?

Thank you! I really don't want to pay another 50 dollars for such a small mistake.

In order for the Food and Drug Administration to approve the home self test for marketing in the United States, the manufacturer had to show that the test is more or less foolproof. That means they required it remain accurate pretty much regardless of things like this. There is no reason to suspect that recent gum chewing would alter the result. I'm sure your result is reliable. But of course you're always free to test yourself again,
