raised tempature for a week and a half

i am a 23 year old male and i had unprotected sex with a female 6 weeks ago. For the past week and a half ive had a raised tempature ranging from 97.8- 98.6. my tempature is usually a bit lower and ive had some headaches and now i have a cold and cough. I went to the doctor yesterday and she told 98.6 is the average temp for people but i am scared it might be due to hiv. Could hiv fever raised a persons tempature just a bit like what i am experiencing or does it cause higher tempatures than 98.6?

This is the normal temperature of the human body man, if you have the HIV fever, it will be at least 38.5 celsius. You risk is very, very small. You can do an Duo test now, it wil be 99.9% accurate, and then do again at 3 months, just for peace of mind. I am sure you are well and free of hiv!

Symptoms are a bad indicator and your "fever" is not a fever.
You should get a test at 12 weeks.
