If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
You would not be at risk for HIV...however, with a freshly healing wound of that nature...you could have put yourself at risk for a bacterial infection.
Basically it would be wise to keep the area clean until it is completely healed.
my biopsy tests just came back. it says benign keratosis, its not warts, can i sue the doctor for wrong inital diagnosis? made me went for 5 painful cryotherapy before sending me to biopsy :(
You had a risk of contracting STDs, (NOT HIV) from oral sex. Can you sue the doctor for a wrongful diagnoses. Dude a biopsy is used to diagnose. You found out through the biopsy that you had that your mole was benign keratosis. What more could you ask for? You can sue him and you'll loose not only the suit but you'll have to pay his attorney fees.
i went for nitrogen , electro cautery and aldara cream treatment X 2, the keratosis went away, but the come back with more smaller new bumps. do i need a 2nd biopsy? maybe its really warts
You will not win a malpractice suit of that nature. There has to be significant and permanent injury/disability in order to win and get a settlement.
Just be glad it was good news. The doctor had YOUR best interest at heart and was treating it appropriately to minimize harm to you if indeed the diagnosis was worse.
