3 months post exposure is when you can obtain your conclusive test result.
Hi Teak,
thanks for your info.
Does viral load test (RNA-HIV) can't determine any HIV virus in a body; especially in seroconversion period in which theoritically have high viral load ?
No. PCR-RNA tests are supplemental tests used in conjunction with an antibody test to help in diagnosing HIV.
Thx again Teak
Means my status is still mistery and misery lol
I will wait to have antibody-HIV test again end of this month..
an RNA test can diagnose HIV,infact it can also confirm HIV infection like the WB can.
That is incorrect without the use of an antibody test..
Hi Teak & Rainlover71,
Oct 30 has checked rapid test again, and the result is non reactive.
Can i conclude my status? or should wait for 6 months (mid Jan'14)?
3 months post exposure is conclusive. You do not need any further testing.
