scared about possible exposure

wrote about this before and got no responses so here goes again. had unprotected sex with a stripper in a "shady" strip club. before the vaginal sex she gave me oral sex (i am male) which was kind of rough, i felt teeth rub quite a bit but noticed no cuts or scrapes later. i guess she didnt think i was going to ejaculate so she asked if i had a condom. i said no, and she asked if i could have sex without a condom? asked if i was "clean"? in a foolish moment i said yes i'm ok and we had sex. maybe a minute or 2 tops then i ejaculated inside her.

broke bones in my foot running a week later and had to have surgery (screws and metal plates). also caught what seemed to be a sinus infection at this same time, mild sore throat for a day or two, and yellow snot, conjestion, but no fever.
after the surgery had some pretty good night sweats that seem to be going away a bit, but i have a history of night sweats anyways and i have been on pain killers because of the surgery. i thought this maybe the anesthesia or meds might be causing the sweats
still have no fever, no rash. but do seem tired. i am in the start of my 3rd week after the incident, and seem to feel pretty normal. also have a great girl that i would hate to infect or hurt in any way, just made a bad decision i know. and think maybe i'm just having anxiety/guilt symptoms.

i plan on getting tested at the appropriate times but in the mean time does this sound like anything high risk?

side notes the woman was white, older maybe late 30's to 40's, and i'm in the us in the midwest near a large city

Well, you had unprotected sex, so there's a risk, as you know. Read the Dr.'s forum and I think you'll gather that your chances of contracting HIV from this one incident is relatively low. Ad that's if she was infected, which it is unlikely she was.

Still the only way to be sure is to test in the timeframe Teak and others have given. As for your symptoms, could be, could also be from about a dozen other things, like anxiety or guilt, so symptoms are useless- only the testing matters. I know when I had my scare, I had gone to a hooker while on a bender. The sickness, night sweats, and other symptoms I was having were probably just alcohol withdrawal, but until I figured this out I drove myself nuts convinced I had contracted it.

So in short, yes, there's some risk. Your symptoms don't matter b/c they could be from any number of things unrelated to HIV. Get tested 3 mons post-incident, and don't have unprotected intercourse with anyone until you get your negative result back.

teak yes i know i posted on this before but the only response i got was yours about the 3 month test which is pretty common knowledge as far as i know.

was mostly looking for some answers in the mean time before i test.

is this high risk? does any of this sound like ars symptoms? or anxiety and guilt?

also could the surgery play any part in contributing to my symptoms?

any response from anyone would be greatly appreciated, thanks
