Worried and Stressed

I had unprotected sex with a woman Ihad a short relatioship with 9 weeks ago. I was only inside her for about 30 seconds before guilt took over (I am married). I didn't worry too much about it initially but some comments she has made to me since then re her health made me worry. I had tried to break things up after 3 weeks but she has made life difficult for me since then.

I had a flu like illness over Xmas (was feeling generally rough and had a sore throat), this lasted 3 days. I have redness under my foreskin which my GP said looked like thrush and he gave me Daktakort cream for this. This issue seems to have been getting worse over the past few days, I now have some flaky skin under the foreskin.

The worry about HIV was very much in my mind so got tested on Friday although he said it can take 2 weeks to get results. I am rather manic with worry to say the least although he says the chances of me contracting HIV are so slim he hadn't even considered it. ( I was tested for other STD's a few weeks ago.

I guess I am just looking for some reassurance as to my status? Obvoiusly, I have been tested 8 1/2 weeks into the window period, I am still concerned that I may have to keep on worrying tilll the 12 week or even the 6 month period has passed.

same thing happened to me .the  wife also got sick with sore throat and cold and body pains. i did test at 8 weeks and my doctors told me it was conclusive negative and also other doctors on international forum . rapid test ab 3rd gen .

Thanks. I expect the result of the test I got last week to take another week or so to come through.

I am even more worried now as my wife has develpoed a very sore throat and a fever since yesterday. We had sex about 6 weeks ago (before I became concerned by my situation).

I am praying this is just a coincedence.

As you are already told your risk is very low. But 8 1/2 weeks test result is into the window period.

Go for a single HIV antibody test after 3 months, and most likely it will be -ve.

Your 3 month post exposure test will be conclusive.
