small cuts

Hi and good afternoon.

I have read all over the internet about hiv transmission but one area that really concerns me are cuts. I am currently studying it and 1 small thing is really confussing me.

People say that blood to blood contact can cause hiv transmission.?

and some say so do cuts?

But where i get conmfussed is if you have a cut and accidently come into contact with another person who has a cut thats not considered a risk? or is it.....

and how new does the cut have to be? if i cut myself now came into contact with blood i would be worried but if i had a cut and came into blood after 30 mins would that be risky.

This is all to confussing and i really need some education here

Please anyone help.,.

Was this person literally dripping blood into a big open wound on you?  I can't imagine a situation where something like that would happen.
